WTOP’s Washington Post Radio Launches With AP Radio News
Washington, DC – Yesterday’s launch of Washington Post Radio, Bonneville’s highly acclaimed new programming concept, features AP Radio News as its audio foundation. WTWP is a new partnership between WTOP and the Washington Post, with news and information from every section of the newspaper. It will have access to a variety of newscasts and the latest information provided 24 hours a day by the Associated Press, covering sports, business, entertainment and information. The service also gives WTWP access to AP’s Live Special Reports and award winning Crisis Coverage.
“AP is a super cost-efficient way to get quality network news and crisis coverage,” said Jim Farley, V.P. News & Programming, WTOP Radio Network. AP Radio serves Bonneville's Washington DC properties with nearly every on-air and online product, including the new AP Online Video Network.
“Whether you’re news, talk or rock, radio stations of every format can benefit from our new AP Radio News,” said Thom Callahan, General Manager of AP Radio. “Station management understands the value of having crisis coverage, live shots and actualities to be able to provide the latest news and information to their audience. AP Radio News offers the flexibility and reliability to do just that.”
