Radio One's News/Talk Network Goes On-Air and Online with Content from AP Radio

Washington, DC – “Syndication One,” Radio One’s new news/talk network, signed agreements to receive text, audio and online services from Associated Press Radio. The network’s three programs, “The Al Sharpton Show,” “The 2 Live Stews” and "The Michael Eric Dyson Show” will receive AP content for use on-air and online. The network will utilize AP NewsPower 24 Hour text and AP PrimeCuts audio in the production of its newscasts and long-form talk programming. Additionally, "Syndication One" has the rights to AP Online service for use of content on the web pages that support its radio programs.

“Syndication One” launched on six of Radio One’s owned and operated stations, all of which are AP members, in January 2006. These stations include: Washington’s WOL-AM, Boston’s WILD-AM, Detroit’s WCHB-AM, Miami’s WTPS-AM, Cleveland’s WERE-AM and Richmond’s WROU-AM.

"We are excited about this new, expanded relationship with Radio One and look forward to serving more of their programming needs going forward," said Thom Callahan, General Manager of AP Radio.
