ROO Renews License With AP for Online Video Content

ROO distributes AP news and entertainment video content to Web sites within its worldwide network

WASHINGTON – ROO Group, Inc. (ROO) (OTCBB: ROOG), a provider of online video broadcasting, content, advertising and technology solutions, has renewed its license with The Associated Press to distribute AP news and entertainment video content online.

The two-year agreement lets ROO syndicate AP news and entertainment videos to approved Web sites within ROO's worldwide network. Thirty-five sites are now approved within the ROO network to receive content provided by AP.

ROO CEO, Robert Petty, stated, "ROO and AP Digital were both early players in the online video content arena. This is the third contract between the parties over the past four years."

ROO generates revenue through advertising solutions including 15 to 30-second video commercials with linked calls to action. Ads are played along with topical video content in a television style format over the Internet.

ROO's platform technology allows viewers up-to-the-minute streaming video from many content channels including the latest breaking news, entertainment, movies, sports, games and music videos. This platform technology allows the video clips to play continually. The viewer can expand the video clip to full-screen.

According to Accustream Research, a firm that researches and publishes data on streaming media, video streams rose by 80 percent last year.  ROO Group is seeing continued demand for its video technology, content and advertising solutions and believes it was inevitable that it would expand operations into New York.
