Media General Deposits TV Group Graphics Deal at AP GraphicsBank
Washington, D.C., – The Associated Press announced today that Media General, Inc. has chosen AP’s online-based news image service, GraphicsBank, to supply all of the group’s television stations that provide local news. The new group agreement adds 11 more stations to the 13 already with the service. The move allows Media General stations to take advantage of more than 250,000 AP GraphicsBank images available for on-air and online use.
"Media General is excited about our move to one vendor for news graphic support” said Paul Gaulke, Media General VP of Marketing. “AP's worldwide resources will give our newscasts the latest images on the biggest news stories. Not only will our stations benefit from AP's vast library of images, but the ability to share graphics within our group will be greatly enhanced."
