Chicago Media Veteran Joins AP as New Radio Sales Executive


Washington, DC – AP Radio has named Christopher Weis as its newest regional radio executive replacing Trish Kallembach, who retired in late 2006. Based in Chicago, he will be responsible for developing and supporting member stations in the Midwest region.

“We make every effort to recruit experienced and dedicated sales professionals, who understand the industry and our business” said Thom Callahan, general manager of AP Radio. “Christopher’s strong track record of affiliate sales and service success will serve as a valuable asset to AP and to our members.”

Weis has held previous positions as Director of Midwest Sales for Universal Worldwide Television and prior to that, he was the Vice- President/Central Region for Cox Cable. Most recently, Christopher was the Regional Sales Manager for Spark Network Services, owned by CBS, where he focused on selling various mobile/wireless marketing applications for the radio and television industry. Christopher holds a BA in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin.
