Freedom Communications Turns to AP for ENPS and Online Content
NAB, Las Vegas – AP Broadcast announced today that two additional Freedom TV stations are the latest to utilize AP’s ENPS, the award-winning electronic news production software. The newest Freedom stations to install will be WTVC in Chattanooga and KFDM in Beaumont Texas, bringing to six the total number of Freedom stations using ENPS.
"At Freedom Broadcasting, we're excited to continue and expand our relationship with AP and ENPS” said Tony Alicea, Director of Broadcast Operations for Freedom Broadcasting. “With ENPS continuing to add functionality like integrated search, HTML editing, and ENPS Mobile to its already robust feature set, including MOS integration with a variety of production devices, we feel that we are delivering to our news producers a fantastic toolset for them to do what they do best in the most effective and efficient way possible."
In addition, eight of Freedom's TV stations have added AP Hosted CustomNEWS; a continually updated multimedia online service that seamlessly blends AP content into station Web sites, 24 hours a day.
The Freedom Group reaches more than 3.5 million households across the country. Five stations are CBS affiliates, three stations are ABC affiliates, and one station is a CW affiliate.
