AP’S CALLAHAN TO LEAD “RADIO GOES VIDEO” NAB SESSION
WASHINGTON, D.C., – Thom Callahan, general manger of the radio division for the Associated Press, will be the moderator of a panel entitled “Radio Goes Video: The New Business Model of Monetizing Online Video,” during the National Association of Broadcasters Show to be held April 11-17, 2008 in Las Vegas.
The radio and online video panel will take place on Monday April 14, 2008, 11:30am-12:20pm at the Las Vegas Convention Center N231/233. In addition to Callahan, the panel will feature Dan Halyburton, sr. vice president/market manager at Emmis Communications.
Video and visual images of the latest current events and breaking news are the top drivers of traffic to the Web. Local market ad dollars are shifting from legacy media to online in record amounts. The “Radio Goes Video” panel will discuss how any station’s Web site can be turned into a revenue generator with relevant online video content.
