ANSWERSTV & THE ASSOCIATED PRESS PARTNER TO PROVIDE ORIGINAL HEALTH CONTENT FOR ONLINE VIDEO NETWORK


AnswersTV Original Health Programming to be Integrated with AP’s OVN, and distributed to over 1,800 online video affiliates

WASHINGTON, D.C., – AnswersTV, the first cross-platform interactive television network comprised exclusively of original lifestyle know-how programming, today announced it has been selected by The Associated Press to be the exclusive provider of Health and Lifestyle Know-How content for the AP’s Online Video Network (OVN).  AnswersTV will initially provide its Health Channel video content to the AP’s OVN which reaches millions of consumers through over 1,800 newspaper, TV and Radio member web sites.

With the introduction of AnswersTV’s Health Channel online video , AP's online video network affiliates can leverage this new programming with their own health stories and content to create comprehensive, medical-specific health centers for their web audience.  The content provided by AnswersTV will engage visitors in a more comprehensive fashion than traditional health information and establish the foundation for improved health education and awareness worldwide.

The AP’s OVN will initially feature The Answered Patient, AnswersTV’s Health Channel flagship series of condition-specific programs.  The Answered Patient works with the patient along the entire continuum of care from pre-visit to post-visit.  Hosted by award winning journalist Jane Hanson, and guided by a team of trusted medical specialists, The Answered Patient features real-life stories, expert interviews, news magazine information segments, demonstrations and additional health and medical resources to help viewers better manage their health. 

Powered by Microsoft’s MSN technology and featuring exclusive AnswersTV content produced specifically for the AP, the AnswersTV Health Channel, will provide high-quality, educational health information to people worldwide. The AP’s Online Video Network reaches 61 million unduplicated unique visitors and serves nearly 2000 multimedia affiliates.
