Ed Tobias
Assistant Managing Editor/Newsgathering
Tobias is responsible for all news coverage on the AP Radio Networks and the AP Broadcast wires.

During more than twenty years with AP, Tobias has covered more than fifteen space shuttle launches, the 1984, 1988 and 1992, 1996 and 2000 political conventions and campaigns, and Soviet-American summits in Reykjavik, Iceland; Valletta, Malta; Moscow, Vancouver and Washington, D.C. He has also run the Broadcast News Center's news desk and served as a reporter and news anchor. Before joining AP, Tobias was News Director at all-news WTOP Radio in Washington, D.C., WASH Radio in Washington and WFAS Radio in White Plains, New York. Tobias is currently pursuing an MSB in Information Systems and Telecommunications at Johns Hopkins University on an Oliver Gramling Fellowship, received from the AP in 1987. He is the recipient of two Ohio State Awards for news documentaries and is a past-president of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Radio Television News Directors' Association. Tobias received his B.S. in Communications from Ithaca College, in New York.

Jackie Bsharah
Acting Assistant Managing Editor/ Radio
Bsharah oversees AP's radio operations.  She started her career at AP's Broadcast News Center in 1997 writing for the broadcast wire and was an in-house reporter before becoming an anchor on the network.

She was a member of the broadcast team that won the Edward R. Murrow Award for coverage of the 9/11 terror attacks. She also provided wall-to-wall coverage on the Sago Mine tragedy in West Virginia. Her most recent position was Radio Output Supervisor, overseeing news coverage and serving as quality control for all audio that's gathered and fed to member stations.

Before coming to the AP, Bsharah was news director at the news/talk radio station WCHS in Charleston, WV. She anchored through morning drive and covered the state legislature during the legislative session. She also worked in Morgantown, WV as an anchor/reporter at the news/talk radio station.

Barbara Worth
Assistant Managing Editor/News

Worth oversees the national broadcast wires, the Washington DC Metro broadcast and print reports, and the 50 state broadcast wires.

She joined AP in 1983 as a broadcast writer in New York, and went on to become an editor, reporter, producer, supervisor for the broadcast wires and AP Radio Networks. She also served as manager of AP's GraphicsBank, and is currently assigned as interim bureau manager for APTN in New York.

Micah Gelman
Assistant Executive Producer of Online Video

Micah joined the AP in 2005 and was a key member of the team that created the Online Video Network. He now leads day-to-day coverage for The Associated Press' Online Video editorial team. Before joining the AP, Micah was Executive Producer at WJZ-TV in Baltimore and has produced newscasts in New Orleans, Columbus, Ohio and Syracuse, New York.
